Know what type of Audit your business need
HUD audits and single audits differ in their focus and scope. HUD audits are specifically designed to evaluate financial statements and compliance with HUD regulations for organizations that receive HUD funding. Single audits, on the other hand, evaluate financial statements and compliance with federal grant regulations for organizations that receive more than $750,000 in federal grant funding. Single audits cover all federal grants, not just those from HUD. Additionally, single audits require an evaluation of internal controls over financial reporting, while HUD audits do not.
